The stadium
serves as the spring training facility for the Washington
Nationals as well as the facility for the Nationals' minor
league affiliate, the Brevard County Manatees. Space Coast
Stadium is named in honor of NASA's achievements over the
past three plus decades. The 8,100 seat stadium was
originally constructed for the Florida Marlins in 1994 at a
cost of $6.2 million. |
